Fabbriche abbandonate (ITA/ENG)

Many horrible buildings have sprung up to accommodate workers engaged in industrial production or in the processing of raw materials, but production soon ceased and building structures, on the other hand, remained standing. Paraphrasing the title attributed to a famous work by Goya, "The sleep of reason generates monsters", it could be said that the dream of the factory generates eco-monsters. The factories and industrial establishments built close to the suburbs have long since been abandoned and today represent only disturbing skeletons that hang over the artistic architectural heritage or disfigure the surrounding natural environment. Some of the entrepreneurs who tried the industrial adventure many years ago they were, in effect, animated by goodwill, but completely improvised and their activity, which lasted a few months, did not have the desired socio-economic success. To remember even today the burning disappointment, the abandoned buildings and infrastructures remain. These are sometimes daring architectures, other times less important, which represent examples of extremely "bulky" industrial archeology, but demolishing them would inevitably unleash an indecent building speculation. A reasonable solution is an intelligent conversion of the old buildings, which retains the original meaning , but it makes them usable and transforms the recovered spaces into large rooms for shows, exhibitions or meetings and, in any case, always open to the public.
Bellissime fotografie. Sacrosanto quanto detto.
