Muri, colori e ...
Recentemente ho avuto modo di apprezzare alcuni murales “comparsi” sui muri dei quartieri più degradati della mia città. Partecipare ad una originale iniziativa che proponeva di attraversare i rioni che le guide turistiche consigliano di evitare si è rivelata una esperienza stimolante e mi ha fatto rendere conto degli sforzi che l'Amministrazione sta compiendo per tentare di migliorare le condizioni urbane e sociali di una parte di popolazione che finora era stata trascurata.
La riqualificazione delle periferie e dei quartieri degradati passa anche dal decoro degli edifici e dell'aspetto delle strade, di conseguenza i "murales" svolgono in maniera creativa la funzione di esprimere la voglia di una piena rinascita e di una reale “corrispondenza” col resto della città.
Al fine di evitare che le pareti vengano imbrattate senza criterio da qualsiasi vandalo di passaggio, il Comune di Palermo ha creato un Albo di artisti qualificati ed autorizzati a produrre i loro lavori in 28 spazi pubblici individuati per accogliere opere temporanee, permanenti o semi-permanenti. Tuttavia non tutti gli street artist attivi sul territorio sono favorevoli alla forma di regolarizzazione adottata.
Lungo le pareti dei sottopassaggi di Brancaccio, costruiti per superare la ferrovia che attraversa il quartiere, sono stati realizzati diversi murales per rendere le moderne infrastrutture simili a delle variopinte “gallerie d'arte”. Le opere saranno presentate nel corso di due cerimonie previste per il 28 ed il 29 dicembre 2019 nell'ambito del progetto “Oltre i margini”.
Il co-patrono di Palermo è San Benedetto il Moro, un modesto monaco nato nel 1526 da una coppia di immigrati nordafricani. Un dipinto di Igor Scalisi Palminteri lo rappresenta su un muro dell'Albergheria.
Un tempo le malsane acque del fiume Papireto scorrevano dove oggi si snodano le intricate viuzze del rione Danisinni. Le iniziative e i progetti intrapresi in questo quartiere sembrano affrontare concretamente i disagi derivati dall'ambiente. Tra gli artisti che hanno partecipato al progetto “Rambla Papireto”, decorando i muri delle case, c'è stato anche l'argentino Guido Palmadessa, il quale ha contribuito con la rappresentazione del “cibo relazionale” su una parete di 6 metri per otto che domina una “fattoria” piena di ortaggi ed animali da cortile.
Anche se coloro che vi abitano continuano a nutrire la speranza di un ritorno economico, i quartieri disagiati riescono con la semplicità dei murales e la naturale cordialità della gente a sorprendere positivamente anche i visitatori meno indulgenti.

Recently I have been able to appreciate some murals "appeared" on the walls of the most degraded neighborhoods of my city. In order to prevent the walls from being smeared without criterion from any passing vandal, the Municipality of Palermo has created a list of qualified artists and qualified to produce their works in 28 public spaces identified for accept temporary, permanent or semi-permanent works. However, not all the street artists active in the area are in favor of the adopted regularization form. Along the walls of the Brancaccio underpasses, built to overcome the railway that crosses the neighborhood, various murals have been created to make modern infrastructures similar to colorful ones " Art gallery". The works will be presented during two ceremonies scheduled for December 28th and 29th 2019 as part of the "Beyond the margins" project. non capisco perchè i murales compaiono nei posti più degradati delle città...eppure è arte e anche sublime!!!
Le architettura monumentali del Centro Storico possiedono già un proprio fascino. Però...

Ottima scelta. Attraverso i murales presenti in un quartiere puoi riuscire a comunicare agevolmente anche i suoi "bisogni" sociali.
