First day of Chinese New Year. After the visit to the parents and in-laws, decided to go out look for dinner. Decided to try our luck at Suntec City because I thought some eateries may open since we had dinner at Marche on the eve and the River Hongbao event at Marina Bay was still on. Yes, there were quite a lot of people there. So, I decided to blur this photo a bit.
年初一，去父母和太太娘家拜年后，决定出去找晚餐。 决定在新达城碰碰运气，因为在除夕夜也在那里的Marche吃。还有春到河畔还在滨海湾举行。应该会有餐饮业开门做生意吧。是的，真的挺多人到那里。所以也将这照片编成模糊一点。

超市也开。觉得有点惊讶。我还想是初二才开呢。
Many people wanted to eat bak kut teh, a kind of pork rib soup. Yo, first day of Chinese New Year of the pig.
好多人想吃肉骨茶。猪肉？喂，猪年，年初一吃这？
Walking through to Millenia Walk, the Japan Food street was closed.
走通过Millenia Walk，这日本食街的都没开。
Inside, this vegetarian restaurants seem crowded. After observing, I decided that many people were either waiting for other reason and some had came out.
里面，这素食餐厅好像挺多人。看了一阵子结论是很多人在那里等其他而也有认出来了。
I went there and see there were couple of empty tables but nobody was there to serve us except this pair of lions. I doubt people had made reservation on first day of Chinese New Year. Give up. Continue the search.
我去了那里，看到有几张空桌子可是除了这对狮子，没有人在那里招待我们。 我看年初一应该不会有人订位吧。放弃。 到别处去。
Went outside and saw Paulaner was opened. So be it. Quickly take a photo of the microbrewery as my wife and I were brought upstairs.
出去看到Paulaner又开。那就这样吧。当我的妻子和我被带到楼上时，快快拍下小啤酒制作机的照片。
A few other groups of people were eating.
有几组人在吃。
To my left, this section looked interesting.
左边，这一区有点意思。
Oh, as I looked up, I saw it's like a ship's mast.
当我看上去我看到原来它像一艘船的桅杆。

In front is the bar counter. My lady like the ambience of the place. We placed our order and waited.
前面是吧台。太太挺喜欢这环境。很快点了菜。
Here comes our food. Half a duck and half a chicken. I know I'll be attending class on Thursday (Valentine's Day) and I said to the lady, "Happy Valentine's Day". She was not impressed. Like chicken talking to duck. :-)
两个餐来了。半只鸭和半只鸡。我记得星期四情人节要上夜校所以跟太太说“情人节快乐”。她好像不欣赏那句话。还是鸡同鸭讲？ :-)
A closer look at the duck. Not some thing I'm used to. It's not too bad but I still prefer the Cantonese style roast duck.
看清楚鸭。不是我熟悉的。不算差但我会是喜欢广东式烧鸭。
The chicken was nothing to special but I think was better than the duck.
鸡也么什么特别可是觉得比鸭好吃。
Both portion were big so we had to skip desserts. Not cheap. About $50 but at least they are not charging extra during Chinese New Year.
两份餐都算大份量所以也没吃甜品。不便宜。差不多$50。可是他们没在农历新年有附加费。
As we left, we saw a band performing downstairs.
当我们离开时，见到楼下有乐队在表演。
