Gundam Feature 2 HG 1/144 Kimaris Trooper Gundam

Hey Guys! I am really overwhelmed by the success of my first Gundam Feature with the No Grade 1/144 Altron Gundam. I will be going ahead and post my second Gunpla, or Gundam. The HG 1/144 Kimaris Trooper Gundam! HG Stands for High Grade which makes this kit a bit more color correct and less of a need for painting! It is also one of my favorite Gundams from the Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans series! Here it is with the box! I spent around 900 php for it. I have some friends that said I could have gotten it for a lower price if I bought it online, but hey it was the spur of the moment!

Unfortunately I never documented the assembly of this kit as detailed as when I put together the Altron Gundam. Still it was pretty good. I got a lot of runners for it and it was really fun to build it and ultimately put it together. Doing a photo shoot of it was tons of fun as well! One thing that I want to touch up on this post is the importance and significance of Panel lining.

Panel Lining is basically making sure that the small details/dents of the structure of the gunpla is featured and can be seen. This gives the kit/gunpla a much more robotic, authentic and finished look. You can choose to do a snap build (which means you dont really detail it) but it wont look as good. Here is a comparison of a panel lined kit and an un panel lined.

Both are the same legs of the Kimaris Trooper. The one on the top is panel lined while the one at the bottom is not completely panel lined. You can stare at it to see the difference or....I can just point it out :D

Basically panel lining it gives it more details and makes it stand out. To panel line you will need markers for it. I used official Gundam markers which I will be featuring in a future post. It's not that hard to Panel line and advance gunpla modelers even go the extra mile of making their own dents for panel lining, giving the kit more detail and makes it look more awesome!

It was super fun building this and now for the PHOTO SHOOT! Ladies and Gentlemen, STEEMIANS! I present the Gundam Kimaris Trooper.

This Gundam's gimmick is that it can extend its legs for the hover mode or the standard Gundam mode. Here it is in Gundam mode (without the extended leg gimmick)

Here it is in Hover Mode - This mode gives it superior speed compared to other gundams and mobile suits.

I would say that this Gundam is heavily influenced by Jousting Knights and It is really a spectacular site to see.
