Rats are amazing and totally the best small pet you can have IMO, they are like pocket sized dogs. They are much better pets for kids than hamsters or rabbits too IMO. I had to stop keeping them because their lifespan is so short and I hated saying goodbye to them. It's so unfair that they don't live longer.
