On 22 and 24 July, a friend called me to replace him as an official photographer in the Eurotournoi of Strasbourg.
Eurotournoi is a handball tournament held every year in July gathering the 4 world best handball club teams. Every 4 years the Eurotournoi precedes the Summer Olympic Games.
Denmark, France, Germany (Rio Olympic Podium 2016) and Egypt participated in this tournament this year.
It was a great experience for me as a photographer. I chose as equipment my old Canon 6d with the legendary canon 70-200 F2.8 L IS USM (the first model). Photography is not just about equipment, therefore to counterbalance the weakness of Canon 6D autofocus, you need to try to guess all movements. I am proud to be able to share here some beautiful pictures.
For the history books, France won this Eurotournoi. In principle the country that wins this tournament is expected to win the Olympic Games, but last night France which was opposed to Denmark replayed the match and Denmark won. It was a very nice match.
