The photographer shared the photo on social media, and it went viral. However, he decided to find out who the couple was and decided to take the help of netizens after failing to find them at the Yosemite National Park.

A photographer captured a marriage proposal on a cliff that went viral. He later decided to find out who the couple was, and with some help from the internet, was able to trace them. Matthew Dippel, a freelance photographer in the US had photographed a couple – in which a man appeared to be proposing to a woman – near a cliff on October 6 at the world-famous Yosemite National Park in California.

The 24-year-old photographer said that he was among the many people waiting at a 3,500-ft drop ledge, when he spotted the couple on the edge of the cliff.

“I had everything all ready to go on my camera so I just had to snap away. But the couple walked out before I did, so I just was in the right place at the right time,” Dippel told the BBC.
