Fix It Friday by @aweber - Photogames Week #1 Day 5

in #photogames6 years ago

So, to start things off. . . congratulations to all of the people that guess correctly on my "Where Is It Wednesday" post. I apparently made it way too easy, that or everyone else is just really smart. Either way, funds will be transferring to the appropriate parties soon! Now, on to a game that I think is an awesome idea . . .

FIX IT FRIDAY = WE PROVIDE A PHOTO FOR YOU TO EDIT

3 SBD Prize!

Time to get your creativity on! Today each of the competitors will provide one of their own photos for you to process in your editing program of choice. We want to see how you interpret our images!

Each Photo Star will provide a full-res JPG for you to work on, and, if they choose, will provide a link to the RAW file as well so that you can play more with the highlights and shadows.

Post your finished edits to your blog using tags #photogames and #fixitfriday, or simply share your edits in the comment section. On Monday the Photo Stars will choose their favourite edit and award the prize.

BACKGROUND OF THE PICTURE
This photo was taken in a remote area in Oregon a few years back. We had found a free camping spot down by a river, and set up camp. The sky was the clearest it had been for a few days, so we spent the evening taking milky way shots. You can either use this JPG (click the photo), or you can follow this link to download the RAW file (which I would suggest).

My Icelandic reindeer wanted to photobomb your night sky. ;)

Really great milky way, by the way! You must have been in a super dark area!

Follow n upvote if u like my piece :)

Thanks for the price! And yes, the photo was easy. But it was harder to find the exact mountain the camera was directed at. Hardest would have been location from where photo was taken. I am looking forward to the next challenge!

First of all, @aweber, awesome shoot!

I edited this one in Lightroom with one of my preset that was originally designed for portraits but it like the mood it gives and the surreal aspect of a sunset even tho we all know it would not be possible to have a milky way shoot at sunset

Later edit: looks way better with night mode on, the white of the website is killing the mood

LOVED this challenge, I spend all my days editing for our own images so it was fun to give yours a go! Helped that it was a awesome image to start with - I just used Lightroom to edit !
