I am wondering why all the vote numbers are listed. I thought, this community was about photography, sharing photos, getting feed back, improve your photos. Giving quality pictures a stage. Help amateur photographers get better.
The requirement to comment/upvote another post before you post your own link is a great one. In my opinion, I am happy with upvotes of course, but I also would like to communicate with users, get some feedback, there is always room for improvement.
By listing the voting numbers it seems to be more about voting(power) than photo quality.
Maybe just publish the total? x users casted x votes or something?
That would be a good indication how active the community is.

You are right in your understanding of our community purpose, however, there is more to it.
Photofriend's Shareholders is an article which is intended especially for our shareholders and is coming once a week. Shareholders delegate to @photofriend their Steem Power in exchange for upvotes and payouts. It is therefore important to inform them about the account activity. They must be informed about our out-coming upvotes to rest assured that they are getting the rewards which they signed up for. Incoming upvotes are shown to demonstrate the account incomes and help to understand the account revenue.
This is just of many of our projects and it must be understood in this way. Our other projects are focused much more on our community values which you highlighted.
On Discord we have to different rooms which you should know about.

Thanks for explaining. I still think if this is for shareholders, there is no need to put it out here. You have discord for that.
Or is it out here to generate some upvotes to grow the account?
