Brothers
In the past several months I've been having fun messing around with my dad's old Canon AE-1 film camera, and I just got back my first developed roll not too long ago! I was reasonably pleased with some of the shots, but definitely a lot of room for improvement. Here are a couple shots I took of two of my younger brothers (I have three total) that I like pretty well.
I'm definitely looking forward to getting better at using film in the future. It's a whole different animal from digital photography so far, but I really like how it makes me think through my composition and settings pretty carefully before shooting. With a dslr it's easy for me to get close with the settings and composition then take a couple test shots that show me what I need to adjust. I like needing to consider all those things fully before even taking a single shot, it's definitely a good exercise for me!
I'd love to know what you think of my first film effort. By the way, I got these developed through Mpix, though I think I might try someone else in the future.

I've always wanted to try to shoot film! It has such a different outcome. I think you did pretty good. I still see your portrait style. Hope to see more of this.
It's a really interesting experience, and I'm enjoying playing with it so far! Thanks, appreciate it. Definitely a lot of things to improve on, but hoping to do some more in the future. Let me know if you end up shooting any film!
These are actually pretty sweet, and the colors are rad. Decent sharpness too, especially on PJ.
Thanks dude! Really had no idea what to expect from that roll. My manual focusing is definitely a work in progress, and I think I need to stop down a bit more. We should go out and each shoot a roll of film in a day (I have two cameras now if yours still isn't working). Maybe at the cabin? ;)
