Deception Pass Park Gulls- try say that fast 3 times 😊 Quite the tongue twister!

The greyness adds to the brooding atmosphere in the photo. Like they're having some kind of somber meeting.

Oh, I only noticed now that you have a Redbubble. I'm also there as The Modern Dragon. Will have a look at your shop on the PC a bit later.

lol - hadn't noticed the tongue twister - thanks for pointing it out! :p
I'm sure you appreciate that it's sometimes quite difficult to think of unique names for each picture.
I'll take a look at your RedBubble page. Unfortunately, I'm not able to be a shopper at this time, but I do like their products and artist tools more than their competitors. (I am on Zazzle and CafePress as well, but I don't do much on them right now.)

Trying to name pictures is the WORST! I'm terrible at it. Even trying to figure out names for the Steemit posts is a pain. :)
I'm on Teepublic as well, but I find Redbubble to just look that little bit more professional. We bought my husband a couple of his Teepublic shirts which he wore constantly for 2 years and they're ready to retire now. They didn't stretch bu the printing did start flaking off. Next up we'll try order something from Redbubble . The problem comes in with the shipping taxes as soon as it's in South Africa, which ends up costing you around $40 for a shirt in a country where the average shirt costs $15-$20

Yeowch! Yeah, the Crown is like that in England as well - it cost me £60 to receive a gifted camera (old, but my dad declared it's original value or something stupid)... And anything shipped over there often cost more than the value of the item.

I did not choose any of the T-shirt specialists because most of my items are better on other things. I love that you can do duvets at RedBubble - and that you can repeat a pattern to make more things work. The artist tools at Zazzle are a pain in the butt, and you can't get too clever or you end up with products in a no-man's-land as happened to me once. CafePress is in the middle. Easier to use than Zazzle, but not as easy as RedBubble. I still get more sales at Zazzle though - despite the fact I'm not active at the moment.
My favorite thing about RedBubble is that I don't have to ask them for my payments!

Oh, you also struggle with chronic fatigue... What are your triggers, if you know? I have many - some I can eliminate, some I cannot. My main ones in day-to-day life are: soy, crowds and fluorescent lighting. I also have some PTSD which definitely contributes, and is less able to be eliminated.

Oh, yes PTSD is quite a bit harder to get rid of!

Triggers-wise: Stress definitely, too much sugar. And just generally overdoing it. My CFS is based around some chronic infections- Tick bite fever, Malaria, Bilharzia, H- Pylori and Endometriosis. So I have to be good and behave. No alcohol, but I don't mind that. Sulphur gets me, so very little dried fruit or wine. Carbonated grape things cause pain. And then anything too fatty makes my liver throw a tantrum.
I'm on antibiotic treatment again now for the next 6 months so it's going to be an interesting time ahead. I need to be mindful of how my general life and coping levels are doing and take a break when I need to instead of keeping on going and pushing.
I'm a bit like a Sim :)

What does the sulphur do to you? Curious because wine, for instance, will give me a flush and I've often suspected the sulphur to be the culprit. I don't often drink (last one I had was over a year ago) - so it's not a major issue. I also get a flush from grapes/cherries if I haven't soaked them first (I suspect it's some sort of fungal thing since organic ones do it too) and grapefruit.

I get a lot of relief, in general, when I'm on a low-carb diet... something I'm trying to get back onto. I lost a lot of weight last time, and I need to lose a bit more (and some again).

lol re the Sims reference. Yeah, I understand. Especially on here (I'm still just starting out) where I feel the pressure to post 3-4 times a day... It took me about a month to go through my 2013 photos... I know I will run out at some point. Then, I'll have to recycle (which I plan to do anyway) or produce more content at a decent rate!

I'm not sure why grapes would make you flush... it's worth looking up I'm sure.
Cherries make me sleepy lol. I also have to avoid fresh grapes. The sulphur feels like it goes straight into my muscles causing lactic acid buildup. Grapes have the same kind of effect. I know they're treated for mildew using suplhur.

You can never underestimate the effect that inflammation has in your body. Having a low inflammation diet makes a big difference. If I have something sweet after dinner I 'm guaranteed to have nightmares, brain fog and some random joint pain.

Re posting, I would suggest trying to do 1 good shareable post a day and then do 20 comments for the rest of the day. It's hard to keep up with 4 posts a day and your frequent followers can only vote so many times a day, while comments can spread over a range of topics and and people and generally require less planning :)
Give yourself about 4 months to focus on building a following. It takes about that long to start earning an income here. Until then just put everything into powering up 🙂. ( apologies if I already told you that. I can't remember. 😆)

My guess on the grapes/cherries is some sort of fungal bloom on it. If I soak them in water and a tablespoon(15ml) of vinegar, it doesn't happen. Grapefruit doesn't seem to matter.

Posting a spiritual thing daily has helped as well. Since I can recycle more. And an occasional post on something totally different... With the spiritual post, two further posts is fine. Or one post with several images, then a standalone. Photocontests only takes one entry daily anyway. (I had seen someone else recommend 4 posts daily starting out.)

I figure I'm doing okay with over 200 followers now - having started 28 days ago! I'm putting everything into powering up
I understand that now - the delegated SP started tapering off - that was when I started hitting bandwidth issues. Powering up is the only way to solve that problem. Except, right now, everything I have powered up with has been met with decreased delegated SP. :p
I power up in whole increments (just because it's easier for me to keep track) - another 2 steem powered up will make the first real progress. I will hit that this week because I have an article nearing $7 that will be coming to rewards. :D

I'm starting to recommend Steem to people, so hopefully get a few more people that way. I now see this as being THE way to get a good marketing start in photography and any of the creative arts.

I do a lot of daily shopping for new followers. Just a comment (trying to curate whenever possible) with my banner. It seems to work - just need to attract a couple of high-flyers now. :-)

Well Done! I see you're way ahead of me :) Yes the colorchallenge posts help quite a bit, and I'm glad the scripture posts are
I started out with @moderndragon with the thought to run it for the business and my husband's art but I enjoyed tellingh my own stories and after a well paying dragon art post I bought this account to run for my garden, cats and general life things. Moderndragon is at 400 odd and I'm just over 200 followers now. My brother in law @zalife got me started here and i've since recruited a couple of friends as well as my mom @grethaventer who I'm helping with her page.
I was just thinking today about needing to make a banner as well, expecially for Moderndragon.

Thanks for the tip about the grapes! I will try that. Hope you have a good week!

Nice Work!
