Chill Afternoon With Some Trains

Japan has a pretty long and proud history when it comes to its train systems. It has always been the most important system of transport since 1872. Since then it has connected Japans cities, towns and prefectures and is one of the reasons that has led Japan to become a global power. Japan has always had very difficult terrain of volcanic, tropical mountainous regions. Before this industry and people relied on roads that had were either coastal or weaved through mountain valleys.

Across the country you can still find older systems supporting country towns and villages. Once popular city trains filled with daily use are found still in use, and still the main form of transport for many people.

We spent a chill afternoon sitting by the river exploring the area. This train passes by every twenty minutes and is an older model from probably the 70's or 80's or even earlier, I have no idea, but I have been told its pretty old.

There are a lot train nerds that love these things and Japan is a great place to explore and find these photogenic places. So if you have time, think about leaving the cities and touristic areas and wonder about and see what treasures you can find.

Thanks for viewing, my posts are about the journey, the process and showing my experiences. Don't hesitate to ask questions. All the photos are mine and can be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/takoyaki_king/ Follow me if you interested in photography and travel.

Nice work. I like the trains, but they seem really short! There isn't really a good passenger rail system here in the USA, unfortunately. That looks like a great place to set up a tripod and do some long exposures with the trains going through..

cheers, a lot trains in the country side are only 1 to 3 cars, not a big population to transport.
