USA roadtrip: Philadelphia + Liberty Bell + Philly cheese steak | Day 3

After two long and excited days in New York our legs were totally exhausted. Luckily we were leaving NYC and going to pick up our car to finally hit the road.
We rented a SUV because we intended to sleep in the car to save some money. With folded back seats our Jeep Cherokee was just big enough for two 1,82 m tall guys to sleep in.

After a short stop in a Walmart we were well prepared for our road trip and were heading to Philadelphia.

We were pleasantly surprised by the nice city with its huge capital.

We visited the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell with its wide crack and listened to their history in a guided tour.

At the end of the day we already had to go on. But not before eating an original Philadelphia Cheese Steak. So we were looking for the restaurant which had invented the Philly cheese steak: Pat’s king of steak (1237 East Passyunk Avenue).

For about 10 bucks you will get a really delicious cheese steak, which is a sandwich made of thinly sliced rib eye steak and melted cheese.

We had a great afternoon and dinner in Philadelphia but had no time to lose to go on because the next day Washington D.C. was waiting for us.
