Banksia

Banksia's are one of my favourite native plants. I love the variety of form, and shape of their flowers.

I'm growing this one in my front yard. It's marketed as candlestick but I'm not sure of its botanical name.

Banksia's are named after Sir Joseph Banks who was the botanist aboard the endeavour captained by James Cook in 1768 - 1771.
