The snowy castle ruin
Today I would like to tell you about a beautiful castle ruin in Baden Württemberg.
In the vicinity of Argenbühl, in a small village called Ratzenried you can find hidden in the forest an old castle ruin from the 12th century. The castle was built on a small hill surrounded by two beautiful lakes. The Oberen Schlossweiher and the Unteren Schießweiher. In the 16th century, the castle was destroyed and burnt down by the Swedes during the Thirty Years' War. Since 2006, however, the masonry of the castle ruin is again completely secured and renovated.
Today, the castle ruin are an attractive destination for families and nature lovers.
Die verschneite Burgruine
Heute möchte ich euch von einer schönen Burgruine in Baden Württemberg berichten.
In der Nähe von Argenbühl, in einem kleinen Dorf namens Ratzenried befindet sich etwas versteckt im Wald eine alte Burgruine aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Die Burg wurde auf einem kleinen Hügel erbaut, der umgeben ist von zwei wunderschönen Seen. Dem Oberen Schlossweiher und dem Unteren Schießweiher. Im 16. Jahrhundert wurde die Burg von den Schweden während des Dreißigjährigen Krieges zerstört und niedergebrannt. Seit 2006 ist das Mauerwerk der Burgruine jedoch wieder komplett gesichert und saniert.Heute ist die Burgruine ein attraktives Reiseziel für Familien und Naturliebhaber.

Alte Burgruinen haben etwas sehr magisches finde ich. Gerade bei der verschneiten Burg, menschenleer, Rehe und Hasen springen um die Burg herum, wirklich fantastisch... War aber auch ca. 20-30cm Schnee, durch den man hindurch musste... :)
Schaut klasse aus. Kannte ich gar nicht, obwohl ich ein Burgenfan bin.

Wenn du mal in der Nähe sein solltest, ein kleiner Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, im Dorf ist auch noch ein wunderschönes kleines Schloss, das momentan vom Humboldt-Institut als Fremdsprachenschule genutzt wird.
