Anse Patates Sunset

Today I want to show you another photo from beautiful Anse Patates. If you have watched the video from my last article till the end, this photo will already be familiar.

I took it on our first evening on La Digue. A storm had just passed through and as the clouds began to break a bit I got this wonderful warm evening light.

With the waves crashing at the shore I used some longer exposures of around one second to smooth out the backflow of the water into the sea. I often use this technique with seascapes to create some leading lines in the foreground.
