London Bridge on the Mornington Peninsula

in #photofeed6 years ago

Light and Shadow are key components of a dynamic and interesting image. Trying to control these when there is an abundance of both makes for tricky photography. If you want to represent them both in a single image then multiple exposures are needed to capture the dynamic range of a scene that the camera just can't manage in a single exposure. Blending them in a realistic and believable way has it's own challenges and isn't as simple as just combining the exposures globally. You need to think about what the scene is and as your eye slides over the image, what would it see in terms of light and shadow. Would it see subdued details in shadow with glare in you periphery? Do you squint a little when looking out of a bright window while in a dark room, do you do the same in the photo?

GOOD. Have a nice time ... from SEOUL.

Lovely! My nana used to live in Mornington, but I don't remember ever seeing this place.

It's just near Sorrento right at the end. Lots of cool reefs and rocks

You got some interesting pics. Nice work

Thanks heaps!

No squinting but do love the colours that ended up in here. The light glow really glows :)

Really cool perspective, and the light is beautiful!

It is a tricky art. One that you get better with the more you experiment. I think its important to keep areas of darkness silhouetted in the shot as well, and not flatten out all the dynamic range too much. Which you have done beautifully here. I will have to explore that coastline properly one day (perhaps after I have read though your book list recommendations) .
