Papoose Island | Priest Lake Idaho
Pictured below is little Papoose Island on Priest Lake. It is located between Bartoo Island and Kalispell Island, both popular camping sites in the summer. East Shore Road is routed right along the eastern shore of the lake and includes several small pull outs where you can park and view the lake I took these photos from beside the road that you can see on this Google Maps page.
This was about the only moment that there was good sunset color, as the sun soon went below the break in the clouds and the remainder of the evening was overcast.

Lovely! Is that orange color from smoke? We ran into that a bit during the summers we've visited up there.
In this case it wasn't smoke, although that is very common. I underexposed these photos slightly which makes the color appear boosted.
