Interior Photos

in #photofeed5 years ago (edited)

I've never shot any kind of real estate photos before, and I decided to give it a try with some interior photos of my house today. We are planning to sell this spring, and I will need some good photos when it comes time to make the listing.

I remember reading somewhere that it is helpful to keep your camera at the correct height, being halfway between the floor and ceiling. This helped quiet a bit when it was time to do perspective adjustments in post production. I ended up using the transform guidelines tools in Lightroom, and the perspective adjustments were quick and easy. I highly recommend those tools anytime you're shooting geometric shapes that need to look right.

This ended up being quite a bit of work. It took time to clean and "stage" the house to make it look good for the photos. The actual shooting went pretty quickly once the house was ready. The post processing took a little extra time because of having to adjust perspective, but the colors, white balance and exposure controls were pretty easy.

What do you think?
