THE FINAL U.S. TEMPLE ... Again | The story and 8 pics
I have photographed 4000+ religious buildings in the US. Yes that's a pretty intense story for another blog post.
LDS TEMPLES
I have also photographed every LDS Temple in the US ... three times.
How does that happen?
Because in 2014 I photographed them all published a book and then they built more.
So in 2016 I photographed like 5-6 new ones and gave my book to a publisher and then they built more.
So back in december I went and photographed one in Philly and Connecticut and then this month I went to Tucson arizona and finally am done... again. It's been a great little ongoing project.
GOAL COMPLETED
And I'm actually done for a few years because they're not building any in the US at the moment, they're focusing outside the US and just remodeling a few in the US for the time being, they have a couple more planned but haven't even broken ground I think.
THE SAD PART OF THE STORY...
I went to arizona in part to visit family and in part to finish this goal. The only day I had available I went down there and IT RAINED... like a lot. It was overcast the whole time and the clouds weren't even the nice puffy clouds you often get in passing arizona rain storms. This was a dense non-stop overcast sort of thing. So yeah white skies is what we get. Luckily some blue-ish for when it was close to twilight. I stayed the night and came back in the morning and it wasn't as rainy but still the same clouds. So i'm still pretty proud of what I was able to do with the situation
