The Rain Will Come
As temperatures rise all we need is a moist southerly air flow and then the rain will come. This isolated thunderstorm is a peek at what the monsoon season will bring.

It was just starting and spread to a much larger area until it rained out.
Crazy looking storm! I saw something like this in New Zealand once :) I am actually back here now.
In China we had the most insane of storms daily and the loudest thunder I’ve ever heard!
Lucky guy, New Zealand sounds amazing. China storms may be comparable to Arizona but also the U.S. has some of the most extreme thunderstorms in the world. We are in the mixing zone.
Yes the US certainly does. When I was in New Jersey about 8 years ago I remember seeing lighting like I have never seen before! I’m not sure if that area is particularly prone to lightning but it was an amazing scene - like I’ve never seen before!
The rain in China was crazy and the volume of the thunder was almost deafening at time!

Hi @irvinesimages,I like rainy days, but this is too much, you have to look for a good roof to cover yourself from this storm.

Hi Martha, Getting caught in this kind of storm is no fun and often there's little warning. When conditions are ripe it happens quick. We love the rain! Have a great weekend.
That's quite a powerful looking storm! Super dramatic and I like how the clouds and rain sort of make an S shape. That's cool! Hopefully we get some monsoon rains here before too much longer! I'm looking forward to it.
