Snow Day

in #photofeed6 years ago

Northern Arizona received massive amounts of snow when a powerful Pacific storm system swept across the state Thursday and Friday. Leaving behind some impressive snow totals. Flagstaff up the hill from Sedona generally 36" to 48" That's above 7000'. Sedona came in at 14" to 18" that's from 4000' to 4700'. It's probably been 20 years or more since a winter storm of this magnitude has hit the state.

A short break in the clouds brightened the place up while the next wave of snow approached. Shot in Sedona Arizona USA on 2-22-2019.

Thanks for the nice compliment!

Stunning shot! The blue window of sky in the middle really ties this one together in my opinion, really adds an important element and a lot of depth showing the layers of clouds involved. The green trees down below also add a lot of character. Nice work!

Wow thanks Paul' you know a little blue sky can go a long ways. The light and color were great.

I like that, in any weather. Pretty much true, thank you!

А мумии как охраняют эту территорию??? Там есть мужчина и женщина с правой стороны...

great photography and very very nice place my dear friend @irvinesimages

Very nice compliment my friend!

Hi @irvinesimages, the earth is hidden under this carpet of ice, and the sky is ready to be unloaded further, the terrain is inhospitable, nothing here will survive, but nature in its infinite wisdom, will know how to recover.
Blessings

Hi Martha, under ice is right and very cold at 12 degrees Friday night. Burr. It's just starting to warm up little and we will have normal temps in a few days. Thank you!
