Grasshopper Flats
Commonly known as West Sedona, Grasshopper flats got its name from the early settlers coming here to catch grasshoppers which they put into coffee cans for fishing on nearby Oak Creek. This area is mostly residential with supporting businesses. People come from around the globe to visit this beautiful place. Sedona Arizona USA.
The clouds are so beautiful
I agree that's something I never get tired of seeing.
That's a nice shot. Looks like a pleasant day in some kind of utopia or fantasy land! Also I never knew that about the grasshopper thing, that's interesting to note.
You laid that out nice, utopia sounds great, it does look a little idyllic and that's a cool piece of history.
A nice place. I also like to eat fish. But my husband is a fisherman, can not catch fish ...
Yes it is. I like fish to and I think I have caught my fair share. You have to learn from those who know what they are doing.

Yes that's true they are low base cumulus filling up with moisture.
I like that you show us all the town of Sedona is a visual spectacle this photo for showing the whole town full and the clouds decorate the landscape to make it majestic.
I'm glad you like it. I don't usually include buildings and people in my images. Its great what you say about the clouds.
Interesting origin of the name. The settlers are responsible for everything in America, both good and bad.
I think what the settlers started others will finish or continue as we try to evolve.
Awesome picture. I think western towns like this one have a special charm. I can picture cowboys and indians roam the streets. So cool!
