Lilac-breasted Roller - in Botswana

The Lilac Breasted Roller is one of the most iconic and certainly most beautiful birds in Botswana. It is usually spotted alone or in pairs. It feeds mostly of insects, lizards, scorpions and snails. For a photographer to get the bird right in front of the lens is a happy day that's for sure. We got lucky here when this beautiful specimen lands in the bush next to the car not to far from my lens.
