Bermuda Sunrise

Looking back towards sunny mornings in the Atlantic, on the island of St. George's in beautiful Bermuda. I'll have to do a post about my brief experiences on this island territory a couple of years ago, or, better yet, revisit Bermuda and live blog it...anyone care to pay my way? ;)

I feel like it's been largely unexplored by landscape photographers - and no wonder, it's harder to get where you want to go at the photogenic times of day without the ability to rent a car (you can rent scooters if you're brave enough). I was staying on quiet little St. George's, far from the regular tourist beaches and was within walking distance of both rocky and sandy beaches that faced the sunrise.

This spot was fun - I had the tripod low down to use the rock and the pooling foam as a foreground, but had to be prepared to snatch it away at any moment if an energetic wave were to run up against the shore and take a run at my camera.
