Cripple Creek Jail

A fun little stop we had in Cripple Creek was visiting their old jail, where they used to keep the classic outlaws and naughty boys. Well, and naughty girls. I mean that as in a child literally not listening to her mother (so she got sent there for a very short amount of time), and whores who were dressed too inappropriately in public. Fun fact: Cripple Creek used to have an afternoon every week where the 'good women' of the town would stay in, while the prostitutes would go out and shop for things. The jail was mostly a male jail, but there was an upstairs portion that used to house a few women inmates as well. And kids too, if needed. Most of the inmates were petty criminals, such as belligerent drunkards and small-time thieves.
