Swirly Rocks
These really wierd rock formations are in the Ottawa river bed, in Gatineau, Quebec. The water level has been low, and these rocks are exposed. I'm curious about the origin for the swirly blobs, traversed by rectilinear cracks. Any geologists out there with an explanation?
