Pukat Darat [Photo Story] | MyPictureDay Submission
Traditional fishing gear operated from shore, we call it "pukat darat" means coastal trawl. The first step the trawl is transported by the boat and sprinkled into the sea and then pulled together from the beach.
This fishing activity is always seen every day in the coastal area of Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh. The result of catching fish varied, incidentally when I photographed the fish catch is dominated by small fish.
The seagulls swirled around the trawl, it seemed that the seagulls had been spoiled by the circumstances, they waited as the net approached the shore, without difficulty seagulls seize the fish that had accumulated in the net.
The catch is then taken to the hut still in the area as well, then immediately sold.
