In Which We Find Mammoths, Dragons, and White Rabbits
Last year, I visited the Atlanta Botanical Gardens during a special festival featuring elaborate topiary designs in whimsical shapes.
They had smiling dragons ready to take flight.
Not to mention giant woolly mammoths.
There was a huge phoenix stretching his wings.
They had a pegasus and a mermaid.
And one of my favorites was the water nymph guarding a charming little pond.
One set of topiaries was designed to look like a caravan of camels.
And the final set of designs was the general theme of last year's festival -- "Alice In Wonderland." This included the ever-popular Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit with his pocket watch, and a giant game of chess featuring the card guards.
