7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - Lake Tekapo
Lake Tekapo - New Zealand
This is my photo for the Australian Monday photo challenge by @czechglobalhosts.
We visited New Zealand back in 2010. Our roadtrip was organized by Umfulana, a great German travel agency. After 30+ hours of traveling we rented our car and started off in Christchurch. Our second stop was Lake Tekapo, an old glacier lake. The landscape is breathtaking! Our host organized a motor boat ride with local guide early in the morning. As you can see on the photos we were totally alone on the lake. The most amazing moment was when he turned off the engine. It was so quite that you thought your heart would jump out of your body because it was beating so loud.
New Zealand is an amazing country. If you ever have the chance to travel there, go for it immediately.
And here are some additional photos of the lake and the surrounding area.
