Mt. Tom near Bishop California
The east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California is one of my favorite places in the world. The high desert that is the leeward side of the mountains contains some of the most amazing rock climbing, numerous hot springs, the highest and lowest point in the contiguous states within 100 miles of each other, and ample space to just go exploring. Mt Tom sits just west of Bishop, above the world renowned bouldering area The Buttermilks.
