Ercolano, Italy photos ITA/ENG

Ciao Steemians!!!
Questi sono alcuni scatti che ho fatto qualche giorno fa a Ercolano, comune della Campania.
Ercolano è famosa nel mondo per gli scavi archeologici della città romana fondata, secondo la leggenda, da Ercole e distrutta dall'eruzione del Vesuvio del 79; insieme a quelli di Pompei e Oplontis, fanno parte dei patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO.
Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate e se avete dei consigli su altri posti da visitare!

Scatto degli scavi archeologici dall'alto, in lontananza si può vedere il Vesuvio.

Scatto di un'antica strada.
L'impianto urbano era di tipo ortogonale, classico dell'antica Grecia, con incroci ad angolo retto e con i decumani paralleli alla costa, a cui si incrociavano perpendicolarmente i cardini.

Scatto della Bottega ad Cucumas (brocche) in cui si vendevano bevande tra cui l’ottimo vino del territorio vesuviano.

Mosaico all'interno della Casa di Nettuno e Anfitrite a Ercolano.
Questa casa è di epoca romana, sepolta durante l'eruzione del Vesuvio del 79 e riportata alla luce a seguito degli scavi archeologici dell'antica Ercolano: è così chiamata in quanto al suo interno conserva un mosaico raffigurante Nettuno e Anfitrite.

Questa è la foto dei fornici, dove sono stati rinvenuti circa 300 scheletri umani, terribile testimonianza dell'eruzione del 79 d.C.: qui infatti avevano cercato scampo, assieme a quanto di più prezioso erano riusciti a recuperare, in particolare monili e monete, gli Ercolanesi fuggiti sul litorale, furono uccisi, però, dall'alta temperatura suscitata dalle nubi ardenti esplose dal vulcano.

These are some shots I did few days ago in Herculaneum, Campania.
Herculaneum is famous in the world for the archaeological excavations of the Roman city founded, according to legend, by Hercules and destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius of 79; Herculaneum with Pompeii and Oplontis, are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The urban structure was of the orthogonal type, classic of ancient Greece, with rectangular crossings and the decumans parallel to the coast, are crossed by the hinges perpendicularly.

Mosaic inside the House of Neptune and Anfitrite in Herculaneum.
This house is of Roman times, buried during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius of 79 and brought to light following the archaeological excavations of ancient Herculaneum: it is called in this way because it contains a mosaic depicting Neptune and Anfitrite.

This is the photo of the fornicators, where about 300 human skeletons have been found, a terrible witness to the eruption of the 79 AD: in fact, they had tried to escape, with the most precious they had been able to recover, in particular jewelery and coins, people who ran away were killed by the high temperature aroused by the fiery clouds exploded by the volcano.
