Lateral galaxy NGC 4565
Our Milky Way is also so thin? As seen from the earth, the magnificent spiral galaxy NGC 4565 is just facing us. The bright NGC4565, known as a needle-shaped galaxy because of its slender appearance, is often the target when using a telescope to patrol the northern sky in the dim northern constellation Corona. In this clear color image, the opaque dust bands scattered on the thin disk of NGC4565 cut through the bulging galaxy core. In addition, in this beautiful field of view, you can also see various other background galaxies, including the galaxy NGC 4562 not far from NGC 4565 on the upper left. NGC 4565, which resembles the Milky Way, is about 40 million light-years away and is about 100,000 light-years in size. NGC 4565 can be easily seen with a small telescope, so many star enthusiasts think that NGC 4565 is the bead of the famous Messier catalog.
