Brooke's Crossing

This Little bridge is no doubt a privately owned covered bridge and not a public one on a road way as most covered bridges are. This little bridge could use some paint to really beautify it.

(Brooke’s Crosssing, 40', 2001, 14-02-c) across Wertz Ditch NE of Harlan, Springfield Township, Allen County, IN. IN37 NE 1.5 miles from jct with Antwerp Rd. in Harlan to the bridge on the E. side of the road. Get permission to view the bridge, which 1,000’ E. of the house, at the house. Can be seen from Knouse Rd. (3-31-07, N41 12.60 W84 53.72)

If you look close you can see the wasp nests attached to the sofftit . I have circled and marked them in the photo below.And as you know a wasp can give a nasty sting.
It would appear that this bridge was built in the year 2001.

paint this bridge and it would look beautiful. Although it does have an old fashion look as it is now. what do you think paint or no paint.

I do agree about the paint but in it's current shape it also has a nice rugged look to it.
Looks good rustic, but it needs preserving....
