Doing my Grandma´s Makeup Tutorial
Everyday Makeup for Mature Skin
If you are getting older, you need to take care to the skin because it can dry out very quick! So, it’s important that you have a good skincare that suits your skin type.
It’s always essential to know that you’re using fewer makeup products which you’re going to apply on to the skin.
I’m having my grandma with me and I’m going to show you an everyday full-face makeup tutorial for mature skin. I’m also going to use her products which she uses a lot and some of mine and I’ll let you know when I’m using the different products.
Step1:
Apply a moisturizer that suits your skin type before you’re are using any makeup products. Gently apply it with your fingers.Step2:
Applying color-correcting concealer if you need to, to cover up any redness or dark circles otherwise use a skin-toned concealer to cover up any aging spots if you like to.Step3:
Dust some translucent powder over the area where you just have concealed. Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush will make it easier to apply.Step4:
Applying a BB cream or light-weighed foundation with your fingers, brush or damp sponge, depending on the coverage you want to reach for.Step5:
Apply your normal concealer to add some extra coverage at certain areas for example under your eyes and around your nose. Using fingers, brush or damped sponge can help you to blend it into the skin.Step6:
apply translucent powder over the areas where you just have used the concealer. Use a fluffy makeup brush to dust it over these areas. Now it depends on how your skin type is, if you have a normal to oily skin, apply now translucent powder or a tinted powder over your whole face to set your base this will also control oily areas for a little longer. If you have a dry skin or normal to dry, then do not use any powder and use for example a cream blush and if needed a cream contour and then powder.
Step7:
fill in your eyebrows. If you’re getting older you will notice that losing your brow-hairs is normal… use an angled brush and an eyeshadow that matches your brow-hairs or use shades like; blonde, light brown, medium brown or dark brown if you have already grey hair. I wouldn’t recommend using black because this is a dark color and can look too harsh but it also depends on your skin color….To mark the natural start of your brow, hold the brow brush against your nostril and angle it by the inner corner of your eye.
Next, angle the brow brush from your nose to the outer corner of your eye and mark where the brush meets your brow to determine the natural end of your eyebrow.
Finally, find your natural arch by angling the brow brush from your nostril to your pupil, and mark where the brush crosses your eyebrow.
If you know where the 3 main points of your brows are, you can start to fill them in.
