Dubai Sky Rise from Old Town
Not all of Dubai is new towers and fancy villas, the city has relatively older areas in the two parts of it divided by the Creek. Deira is where the original Dubai International Airport, Gold Souq, Spices Bazaar, and the first shopping malls like Al Mulla Plaza, Deira City Center, Ghurair Shopping Mall, and where Dubai Shopping Festival City is. Deira borders Sharjah. While Bur Dubai is where the Ruler's Court is, the Museum, main banks and the Central Bank are located, among others.
In both areas Deira and Bur Dubai there are a number of residential communities. The following photo is taken from the Satwa area, an old community in Bur Dubai. Itself is seeing a constant development of replacing old houses with new compounds of villas.
