Breakwater on the Baltic Sea protect the beach from over-flushing. At regular intervals, the wooden poles rise into the sea, which are also used by seagulls to relax.

The picture was taken in the spring on the deserted beach of Zingst in Germany.

Wellenbrecher an der Ostsee schützen den Strand vor Überspülungen. In gleichmäßigen Abständen ragen die Holzpfähle in das Meer, die auch gerne von Möwen zum entspannen genutzt werden.

Das Bild ist im Frühjahr am menschenleeren Strand von Zingst in Deutschland entstanden.
