Pussy Willows

Little girls and little fellows
Candlesticks and pussy willows
Carried home in string.
Little flames are warming, shining,
Passers-by the cross are signing,
And it smells like spring.
Dashing little breeze is bold,
Raindrops, raindrops, small and cold:
Shield the fire away!
On Palm Sunday I will wake up
First, and pray my soul He'll take up
On that holy day.
