"Nothing to See Here"
a moment that "seemed to be waiting to happen" at The Oculus Pavilion in Humber Park in Toronto, Ontario Canada
July 30, 2017
taken with my iPad
a random sighting on a bike ride late afternoon
Built in 1959, designed by architect Alan Crossley as a space age rest stop with a washroom. Apparently there used to be a sculpture there under the "eye" which featured 3 birds, which has gone missing. Originally slated to be demolished, a petition went around and plans are in place to have the building refurbished. Area Councillor Justin Di Ciano has requested the sculptures return, "with no questions asked" “Someone must know where it is. It must be in someone’s home or office. Let us know if you have any information. No questions asked. We’re going to be very nice about it.”
