Some of the great photographers edit their photos a bit. They used to dodge and burn when they printed in darkrooms.
Totally agree. It's rare that photogs take stuff straight out of camera...benefits of shooting raw.
here it is in lightroom prior to b&w conversion and tonal adjustments :)
