PHOTO REPORT / EUROPE IN 10 DAYS / FRANCE, BELGIUM

in #photo7 years ago (edited)

Hey everyone! I've been away for the past ten days
touring France and Belgium with my band Seine.
@dimitrij, our drummer, wrote about it in detail so feel
free to check it out. The trip was exhausting and we had
to drive more than 300 kilometres each day but it was awesome
and totally worth it. We played a show each night, constantly moving
from city to city and stopping along the way to experience the
beautiful French countryside. Here's my little photo report of
the entire trip, I hope you will enjoy it almost as much as I did!

DAY 1 - COMO, ITALY
Como is a small town in the north of Italy
on the lake Como and we stayed there for the night
on our way to Grenoble.

DAY 2 - GRENOBLE, FRANCE
The next day we made it to Grenoble where
we played our first show of the tour.
We were lucky to stay in a great house with great
people and had the most fun on the entire trip!

DAY 3 - SAINT ETIENNE, FRANCE
On our way to St. Etienne we stopped in La Detourbe,
a small village in France to have a cup of coffee and
enjoy the view. St. Etienne is much different than Grenoble
with its narrow streets and a lot of trees.

DAY 4 - PARIS, La Cirque Electrique
Paris is so huge it's scary. It's so big it's hard to even imagine
the size of it. We had almost no time to look around and even if we did,
I don't think we would be able to see much. It's simply too big.
We played a show in a former circus, on the outskirts of Paris.

DAY 5 - BOURGES, FRANCE
Bourges is probably one of the most amazing and
beautiful places I've ever seen. The architecture, the cathedral,
the streets... it was overwhelming.

DAY 6 and 7- AMPONVILLE, PERONNE & ANTWERPEN, BELGIUM
On our way to Belgium, we visited a small village called Amponville.
It a charming little place with a medieval church and a cute lake.
Then we stopped at Peronne. Peronne is even more
charming and has a church built in a late gothic style,
the only one of its kind to survive
the Revolution.

Antwerpen is a grey, cold, windy city and it is
constantly under construction.
Despite all that, it has beautiful architecture
and a lot of things to see, visit and to do.

DAY 8, 9 and 10 - La Louviere, Schwabisch Gmund and home
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of
La Louviere in Belgium and Schwabish Gmund
in Germany because there was simply no time to
look around but I do hope you will enjoy
this short photo report.
I'm totally in love with France, by the way.

P.S.

The quality of the photos isn't great but I have a shitty phone so... sorry :D
