Psychedelic Long Shutter Speed Photography
Here is a collection of shots I took last night at a party. It was a garden party in a lush backyard that had elephant ears and bamboo. Using an adjustable LED light I was able to get some interesting exposures with different color settings. Allowing the color to "burn in" gave the shots that rich look that I love. And I also made a few shots by physically moving the light around and making light painting or streak photography.
These shots were done on full manual settings on a basic entry level Nikon D 3300. Just goes to show you how powerful the electronics have become on basic cameras. The settings I used are as follows: ISO 200, Shutter: 25", fStop 22. The light I used is called a YONGNUO YN360. It's a Handheld LED video light that burns from 3200k to 5500k and has RGB color settings for 256 colors.
All shots were taken with the camera mounted on a tripod.
