Flight has always been a fond fascination of mine, and every now and then when I see birds waddling on the ground it reminds me that it doesn't matter where you are in life, every now and then we need to be a little 'down to earth'
And then of course there is the ostrich, a flightless bird, makes me wonder how often we feel that we are in a position where we are equip with all the necessary tools, and yet just cant seem to get ourselves off the ground.
And that is why I chose to post these pictures of 'grounded birds' today; Just some reflective thoughts.

I was drawn in by the quail. We have a family of quail that have taken to hanging out outside my chicken's run. They are fun to watch and very "Chicken" in their antics, though they can fly off when they need to, but the ground is their friend.
