My Bird Photography #2
The outfit of this little bird is so exquisite, and the colors are so bright, that even the most spoiled lover of outlandish birds cannot hide his admiration. The feathers of the birds which lives in the coastal forests of eastern Australia, from Queensland to New South Wales, shimmer with gold on white velvet .
As if dressed in a festive livery, the male of the birds does not at all look like his gray-brown partner in white spots. But even his colorful attire is hidden behind dense tropical vegetation that carpels the lower tiers of the rainforest.
These bower birds feed on fruits, berries and insects. They also lay out these delicacies in a hut in anticipation of the female. However, after mating, they immediately lose interest in their friend, who is forced to build a nest, incubate eggs and feed the chicks alone.
