The beauty of New Zealand

New Zealand is not going to the cities, there are no cities. Come here for nature! Although, in my opinion, in the world there are places where New Zealand is more interesting. To say that in New Zealand some unusual geysers? Not. For geysers have to go to Iceland. Maybe fjords? Here Norway will be more interesting. Forests, fields and mountains? Welcome to Altai or Crimea.

What New Zealand takes is service and compactness. Landscapes here are changing like in the movies! For a week you can get impressions for several years in advance. And most importantly, there is an amazing service. The best tracks in the world! Everything is thought out, equipped, everywhere navigation, amenities and untouched nature. Add to all this gorgeous wine and very good meat. And here for you New Zealand paradise is revealed.

Roads in New Zealand are gorgeous. Be it asphalt or primer - beauty is everywhere! Excellent markup and signs

01.jpg

The main problem is on the sides so much beauty that it is difficult to concentrate on the road.

02.jpg

In New Zealand, you need to be attentive only with yellow markings. White solid can be crossed. By the way, almost everywhere the limit is 100 km per hour.

Plain New Zealand village.

Low tide.

05.jpg

How do you like a village?

06.jpg

Even in the New Zealand wilderness there will always be good food, cafes and restaurants, shops.

07.jpg

Children's playground in the park on the waterfront.

08.jpg

A place for cooking on the waterfront) These grills are many where they stand.

16.jpg

Simple New Zealand life.

17.jpg

Such houses cost about 2-3 million dollars.

18.jpg

But a good view.

19.jpg

Fences? Honest people have nothing to be ashamed of.

20.jpg

First stop - Te Wanganui-AHay Marine Reserve, or simply Cathedral Bay

21.jpg

From the parking lot go in quick steps of 20-25 minutes.

22.jpg

Beautiful views of the bay open already in the middle of the road.

23.jpg

There is an organized walking route through which you can reach the bay and the beach. It’s impossible to drive to it by car, you must walk

24.jpg

25.jpg

There are warning signs along the road. Due to the fact that the population of opposums grew strongly, they began to be caught with the help of special traps. Tourists are asked not to go off the footpath, closely monitor the children, do not touch the traps with their hands and keep the dogs on a leash all the time.

26.jpg

I recommend to come here in the morning, since in the afternoon everything is in the shade.

27.jpg

Coast of New Zealand.

28.jpg

This place is quite popular among tourists - every year it is visited by about 150 thousand people.

29.jpg

White stone cape that separates the two neighboring bays. There is a cave in it, which I will show below.

30.jpg

On both sides of the cape are stunning beaches. They are very popular among the locals, and often there are various holidays and picnics.

31.jpg

Also in certain seasons divers come here. There are some good reefs with numerous marine inhabitants.

32.jpg

On both sides of the bay are surrounded by steep cliffs.

33.jpg

The Cathedral Bay got its name due to the Cathedral Cave located here. In turn, it was called so, because its vault resembles a Gothic cathedral in outline.

34.jpg

So it looks from the inside. It is quite large: the height of the arches reaches 20 meters, and its length is about 120 meters. Sometimes marriage ceremonies and musical concerts are held here. One of the scenes of the film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was also shot here.

35.jpg

If you are too lazy to go, you can take a boat. Especially for tourists there are organized water excursions to the surrounding bays and beaches.

36.jpg

In the shadow you can see the rock of Te Hoho, which, from a certain angle, is very similar in shape to the nose. Translated from Maori, its name sounds like “Nasal septum bend”.

37.jpg

38.jpg

We go further.

39.jpg

As I already wrote, all attractions have parking, sometimes they are paid.

40.jpg

41.jpg

Shower and toilet.

42.jpg

43.jpg

We go to the beach hot springs. It is located about one kilometer from the Cathedral Bay.

44.jpg

The peculiarity of the beach is that hot water keys are beating it right across the sand. It is mixed with cold ocean water, and this results in warm baths in which locals and tourists love to relax.

45.jpg

People come here with shovels and dig themselves a hole in which they then sit until they get bored.

46.jpg

47.jpg

The temperature of the underground sources varies in different parts of the beach. In some places it is so hot that an unwary tourist can easily scald his feet. Therefore, here you need to be careful and keep those places where there are already dug pits.

48.jpg

The entire beach. After the departure of tourists, the waves quickly wash away the accumulated sand, and there is no trace of their presence.

The surrounding villages.
