Teachers write in hidden talents

We teachers gathered from across North Aceh District are gathered by the Young Teachers team to listen to their direction, Young Teachers tell us that there are so many creative, inspirational and innovative dedicated educators in advancing education in North Aceh. Similarly, the ideas and the solutive views of the educational world come from the educators. However, these stories and thoughts only settle or circulate among themselves because it is not published.

Very few major education actors are moved to write down their experiences and thoughts. In fact, if done, the article can be a positive inspiration for the community in the middle of the widespread negative issues about education in Indonesia. Their thinking, too, can be used as the basis for the making of educational policy at the upper level more just for educators. Based on this, the Aceh Utara District Education Office, in collaboration with the Aceh Utara Young Teachers of Indonesia Teaching and Alliance of Independent Journalists Lhokseumawe, launched a movement called The Time to Write Teachers.

SGM is a movement aimed at fueling the writing passion of teachers and principals in North Aceh. Together, motivating each other to work, his hope will come a lot of extraordinary papers from them, the education fighter in North Aceh, "
As a first step of the movement, the first activity was motivation and writing training on 21 and 22 October 2013 at the Hall of the North Aceh Regent Office, attended by 300 teachers and principals from each UPTD in North Aceh. Participants received feature-winning techniques and opinion articles, a senior journalist and novelist from the Alliance of Independent Journalists of Lhokseumawe. While the motivation to write, obtained from Mahdi Idris a teacher as well as writers from Dayah Ruhul Islam, North Aceh.

The training and motivation story was able to ignite the spirit of the participants. Seen from the pile of qualified papers produced on the second day of training. This work became the basis for the next SGM activities, which are feature writing contests and educational themed opinion articles. With a span of 8 October to 8 November 2013, this is an open competition for all teachers and principals of North Aceh, whether or not they attend the training.

All posts submitted by the contestants will be uploaded to the site acehpintar.tumblr.com, facebook account Aceh Smart, and twitter account @AcehPintar managed by North Aceh Young Teachers. Twenty selected papers will be posted and published. While the three best writings will be awarded certificates, trophies, and prize money. The awarding of 20 selected participants and 3 winners will be held during the ceremony of National Teacher Day, 25 November 2013.

With the book that will be made, we will show that the educational actors in North Aceh is a master storyteller whose story can inspire many people, "Ari explained. In order for the writing spirit is not extinguished, the participants agreed that it is necessary to network each other in the community. At the end of the writing training, a plan to activate Agupena (Association of Indonesian Writing Teachers) was held in North Aceh in 2014.
