#OnThisDay - Phoolan Devi was born. Known as Bandit Queen of India, she was arguably the most bad-ass woman ever to born on Indian land. Born into a low caste family, she endured poverty as a child and had an unsuccessful marriage before taking to a life of crime. After developing major differences with her parents and her husband, she sought escape by running away and joining a gang of bandits. Today marks her 54th birth anniversary.
