HOW TO REDUCE TRACKING ON IOS AND ANDROID

This is a tough cookie to crack.
I have seen people altogether blocking their camera on laptop or iPad.
What about the front facing camera?
Maybe I am going overboard but the tracking business is huge.
It’s hard to say it is a good thing for the tracking.
In order for GPS to work you need to enable tracking.
Some apps need tracking to verify your whereabouts.
It could be good but extensively we don’t know what they do with it afterwards.
Generally it is safe to know how to work it and turn off when NOT needed.

You can turn off tracking by going to settings
Select privacy and turn off location services
My iPhone told me often this app or that app is using location services.
Great reminder to turn off.
I am asking myself why so much intrusion.
Many people love smartphones but they hardly use the full potential of them.
They don’t know they are miniature computers capable of doing thing we couldn’t think of 10 years ago.

Android has so many flavors.
The task can be daunting but at the end
Go to setting and security & location
Under privacy go straight to location
And turn it off.

• Be very weary about free games.
  Kids love to play games and they are free.
  Just be careful with the kids playing games on smartphones
• when something is free, you are the product.
  I recall most people tend to go to android cause the apps are free.
  There you have it.
• Don’t get me wrong if you need the app buy the premium version. No ads, no headache.
• keep your phone clean of apps you don’t use. Less invitations for snooping

While it is hard to shut tracking down,
You can do other thing that can help.
Avoid logging to any free WiFi in your path.
🛑 stop posting your whereabouts on social media.

Privacy is a thing of the past.
