Listen To Stupid People More

in #philosophy6 years ago

We are living in spectacular times when we can get all the information we want in just a second. However, have you ever thought that all the 'smart' and 'entrepreneur' ideas have been already told by millions of intelligent people? Can someone say something new or we are stuck in a massive 'be yourself and follow your dream' circlejerk? Listen to any motivational speaker and you will have your answer. If you are too lazy to do that, let me help you - all (well, most) the motivational speakers are repeating you the same textbook of righteous ideas. I am not saying that those ideas are bad; I am just saying that if you did not learn from intelligent people, who rule the internet, by now, you will never do.

What is the answer? Look for something new. And something new lies in the minds of stupid people. Of course, I cannot tell you who is smart or who is stupid. However, let's assume that a stupid person is the one you would never listen. So, all you need to do is start listening. Simple, isn't it?

Those stupid people will most likely have some nice ideas. Those stupid people will show you how to approach life from many new angles. Eventually, those stupid people will show you how (not) to live. Those stupid people will teach you what the intelligent people were babbling about.

Of course, be cautious not to become one of the stupid ones. Actually, be cautious not to become an intelligent one as well. Just let everyone speak and show you your unique way. Don't ever try to belong to some group unless you are sure what is stupid and what is smart. I cannot tell the difference yet.

That's why I am still listening.

I'm not sure what I think about this post. I appreciate that you took the time to write what you think, and maybe there is another view. You mentioned that we have all the information at our fingertips, referencing the internet. Then you said to talk to stupid people. In this scenario people are online and reading everything that you can't figure out whether it's even true or not. On the other hand talking to stupid people would be more of a reference to speaking to someone in person. I would agree with the idea that you can't believe every thing you read on the internet...but maybe it's backwards....how about don't believe all of the stupid people that troll garbage on the internet and talk more with the smart people that don't spend all of their time online....just an idea!

I simply love your articles, what great content and quality of posting you offer the community here on Steemit and abroad.
I've resteemed your post!
