RE: The Brave New World Is HERE! Scientists Will do Whatever It Takes To Protect Their Paychecks

"Most scientists have embraced scientism, which means science without its 'spiritual or metaphysical' component."

Science never dealt with spirituality. Is this supposed to be some kind of shocking revelation?

Sort:

@uvas that is because the significance in combining metaphysics and natural sciences had yet to be distinguished. It was known/felt... never distinguished. Metaphysics, theoretical physics, chemistry, and biology will be the saving graces for humanity. So, no. It is not a shocking revelation. Though, it certainly is going to be a significant part of the rest of your life, so one could then reason it is also certainly worth mentioning.

I wholeheartedly agree with theoretical physics, chemistry, and biology making wonderful advances in the future.

Metaphysics, on the other hand just constantly bickers about whether things exist objectively , or are just ideas in our minds. Blech.

again you critique the messenger because you are you not willing to probe anything outside your own perceptions instead of watching Huxley, and comment on his chilling views on intellectual eugenics

Human emotions being ruled by physics (influenced by the properties of electricity because neurons share data in the form of electric current), and emotional interaction can be called "metaphysical"

epigenitics has also demonstrated that any change from the environment affects the RNA, which in turn modifies the DNA. This process can be called metaphysical, they are the result of laws we cannot bend. All chemical interactions are encoded in the fabric of the universe birthing life. Man didnt invent mathematics, he discovered it.

watch that and update yourself

Here is a biologist who works with the metaphysical. Rupert Sheldrake, a biologist and author, is best known for his hypothesis of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory. He worked in developmental biology at Cambridge University, where he was a Fellow of Clare College. He was then Principal Plant Physiologist at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), in Hyderabad, India. From 2005 to 2010 he was Director of the Perrott-Warrick project, funded from Trinity College, Cambridge. https://www.sheldrake.org/

Really?!? Rupert Sheldrake? lolz

More conspiracy pseudo science claptrap. What he does is not science. Nobody who is a serious scientist entertains any of his ideas. His problems with science is that he doesn't understand it. He is a postmodernist anti-science idiot. He calls the speed of light "scientific dogma", yet his conjectures are to be taken to be true without the slightest shred of evidence.

People like him make me sick to my stomach. Trying to destroy science just because he doesn't understand it. Revolting and extremely immoral, people's lives depend upon the advances of science.

EPIGENETICS is real, and you will have to deal with it. The Universe has a memory because it is CONSCIOUS. No conspiracy here. Deal with it. Life. any particle and atom are CONSCIOUS. Immoral, why? Because you do not grasping that? Then let your own ignorance make you sick. You are hurting yourself

The concept of a CONSCIOUS UNIVERSE makes only the atheists or fundamentalists get sick. Either life did came out of the blue or according to the bible word by word.

any TRUE SCIENTIST works with Nature instead of against her... just like the invention of plastic that has caused such an UNPRECEDENTED pollution that we cannot clean up the damages. That is what happen when science is monetized. It destroys earth and humans alike. The definition of scientism.

OR our e-waste that the scientific experts never speak about because they have NO SOLUTION for. Meanwhile we dump 50 billion worth of electronic waste in china, ghana, pakistan and india... stay tuned, I am going to expose the PSEUDO scientists in another jaw dropping blog soon.

He calls the speed of light "scientific dogma"

first the speed of light is variable, it is not constant. So the equation is wrong. RIP EINSTEIN DOGMA

Speed of light not so constant after all | Science News
Even in vacuum conditions, light can move slower than its maximum speed depending on the structure of its pulses. a possibility that could have broad implications for fields of cosmology and even astronomy https://www.sciencenews.org/article/speed-light-not-so-constant-after-all

No scientist says the speed of light is constant. Science says the speed of light travelling through a vacuum is 299,792,458 m / s.

Sheldrake seems to use the word dogma with this standard definition: a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative without adequate grounds.

So Sheldrake says scientists simple accept what authoritative scientists tell them about the speed of light without testing it themselves. When in fact, scientists continually test and retest the speed of light under a myriad of conditions. The speed of light is not dogma, it is a rigorously tested and verified fact.

As to the universe having "memory" and "consciousness", please! You would have to provide some PROOF of these claims. Not unsupported proclamations from new age, post modern gurus. Claiming something is true is quite different from proving something is true.

And finally epigenetics. Yes, it is real. So what? One example: adults that were prenatally exposed to famine conditions have also been reported to have significantly higher incidence of schizophrenia.

space is not a vacuum, and this implies that einstein calculations are false because for many decades the speed of light has remained constant in all academic equations... much of what is known must be rewritten. Hence a possibility that could have broad implications for fields of cosmology and even astronomy.

And finally epigenetics. Yes, it is real. So what? One example: adults that were prenatally exposed to famine conditions have also been reported to have significantly higher incidence of schizophrenia.

again, you didnt watch Bruce lipton enough... you are so deadly mainstream. Sheldrake is correct and so is bruce lipton, and the like. Otherwise you'd know that the thoughts can override genes' expression.

As to the universe having "memory" and "consciousness", please! You would have to provide some PROOF of these claims. Anything that has not been approved by the academia is new age... funny.

that is what I was saying, you are an atheist, regardless of what you may claim... life came out of the nothing... do you have a proof? :)

Every cell and subparticle behaves the way it is programmed for. And this program is embedded in the fabric of the universe, and called Consciousness. The Universe is alive and functions according the memory of this program. How difficult is it to grasp that? Only a stubborn atheist cannot.

Sheldrake is not correct. He is lying. He is wrong. I explained HOW he was wrong.

You are just renaming physical laws as "memory" and "program" and "consciousness". That doesn't accomplish anything.

I don't know where life originally came from, and neither do you.

And about Einstein's equations being wrong...lolz

The speed of light in a vacuum IS the constant. This number: 299 792 458 m / s is the constant used in equations. Not the speed of light in atmosphere, not the speed of light through water, not the speed of light through space, but the speed of light in vacuum. I know it is hard for you to think in a logical manner, but at least try once in awhile.

well that thoughts create reality has been proven scientifically, though the origin of this process is purely metaphysical.

Dr Bruce Lipton How Your Thoughts Shape Your Current Reality

There is a lot of evidence suggesting our universe is trying its best to exist... fine tuned universe is what they call this. In effort to exist, the universe must be able to learn somehow. It is understood that unliving matter can store and even process information, so it is very possible at the least to say the universe can learn from itself. To say that the natural sciences all blend together effortlessly and coincidently seems more absurd to me than saying it is learning from itself.

yes I heard something similar. We don't live in a created Universe but perpetually creating One. There is a lot of food for the thought in such concepts. Religious doctrines and scientism (atheistic science) are a total failure and pushing us toward the edge of the cliff.
